A few months ago I stumbled across a Facebook group dedicated entirely to AI Automotive Art — which, for a guy like me, feels like finding the motherlode. Two of my favourite things in one place: classic cars and cutting-edge tech.
Naturally, I dove in.
Then, as fate would have it, soon after we were watching The Simpsons, the episode where Marge ends up with the Canyonero. If you know, you know. That absurd, oversized SUV has always cracked me up.
So I figured: why not put ChatGPT to the test?
I asked it to create a photo-realistic rendering of the Canyonero, set in a rugged outdoor scene, and it delivered. Honestly, I think the thing looks ready to run down a grizzly or at least dominate a mall parking lot.
I’ll be sharing more of these AI-generated car experiments as I go, including some retro-futuristic concepts, reimagined classics, and the occasional “what if” build. Because when you blend nostalgia with neural networks, you get something pretty fun.
